Down Syndrome Ireland provides information and supports for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families through their network of 25 branches throughout Ireland.
They provide an ‘all-through-life’ support to people with Down syndrome and their families across Ireland with specialists in the areas of health, speech and language, early development, education and adult education and independence that enhance the lives of thousands of children and adults with Down syndrome across the country.
They have a useful health information page with details of the various tests, checks, conditions and medical professionals you may come across in the lifetime of a loved one with Down syndrome.
They also have a Nurse Manager who is based in the National Children’s Hospital in Tallaght, Dublin, where she is available to meet children with Down syndrome from anywhere in Ireland.
