Hand in Hand provides free practical and emotional support services to families affected by childhood cancer throughout Ireland.
- Practical supports include include free domestic house cleaning service, a range of meals service options and a laundry service from a local laundrette,.
- Emotional supports include play therapy for the child patient and siblings, counselling for parents throughout Ireland and information and advice for families.
Families are usually referred to Hand in Hand by medical and social care staff at Children’s Health Ireland Crumlin and Temple Street. All Hand in Hand services are free to families with a child undergoing cancer treatment. Families are always welcome to contact them directly to enquire about support.
