Rainbows provides support groups for children who have experienced grief and loss due to bereavement or parental separation.

INFORMATION

Rainbows provides support groups for children who have experienced grief and loss due to bereavement or parental separation. Attending the programme provides children with an opportunity to meet with other children of a similar age and loss experience, at a minimum of 3 months after the loss. It does not provide an individual one to one support service and does not provide counselling or a therapeutic level of intervention.  The minimum age is 7 years of age and in First Class and the maximum age is 18 years. Rainbows signposts children and families impacted by the death of a baby to more specialised and professional services from Féileacáin, Firstlight and A Little Lifetime.
